Addressing a Critical Need

Millions of people feel that the American Dream has and will continue to leave them behind.  And that’s unacceptable. So where are the hurdles to economic growth and how can we address them?

The only solution to this country’s opportunity gap is through post-secondary education and, more so, to a meaningful job thereafter. So, we make students, schools, and employers partners in economic pathways.  In so doing, Viridis will meaningfully improve educational outcomes at scale.

What is Viridis?

Viridis is a cloud-based, SaaS technology platform that integrates with existing student information systems, government databases and labor market information to connect students to employers.  The goal is to identify how we can get better at directing learners to pathways which have currency in today’s market, to use technology to more effectively connect them directly to opportunity, and measure the economic impact of that educational investment.

How Does Viridis Work?

Grounded by economic demand, Viridis connects community colleges & their students to workforce
investment boards & local employers based upon verified knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Viridis is the talent management platform of tomorrow, today.

Automate verification & tracking of students’ knowledge, skills and abilities

Integrate with employers’ HRIS for recruiting & applicant tracking

Leverage real-time data to match targeted candidates to job vacancies

Align economic demand to workforce development & upskilling

Measure employee effectiveness to improve quality, grow retention, and increase productivity

Full reporting—including to and through the workforce—allows college partners to measure the economic impact of their programming.
Viridis matches matriculating students to local opportunities (including internships, apprenticeships and jobs) based on their individual interest and verified knowledge, skill, and ability!

  • Through partnership with Viridis, Cerritos College sees an opportunity to reduce the gap between the skilled workforce employers need to be competitive and the training opportunities available to job seekers. This is especially critical for middle-skill jobs – those that require a high school diploma and some postsecondary education and training, but not necessarily a four-year college degree.

  • As I reflect on my relationship with the Viridis leadership team, this team's creative intuitiveness for producing a resource that allows college students to build a workforce portfolio at beginning of their freshman year and track it through graduation provides students with the ability to adapt to skills required in the industry.

  • Working with Viridis has been an educative and positive process. As a liaison for Dallas Community College District and North Lake College, Viridis team members have walked me through every step of the process from assistance with program selection to onboarding of students and employers. Viridis has been continually open to practical feedback along the way so much so that I feel like a part of the Viridis team as our District and my campus moves forward toward adding new pathways and employers- and towards virtually changing the way that students and employers connect and network

  • We are excited to partner with Viridis Learning pilot program in San Antonio.  We are looking forward to working with Felix and his team in setting up a platform that will enable us to increase our recruiting efforts with the colleges.   After meeting with Felix and reviewing the program, I believe that this partnership will be ideal for our recruiting needs and the poll of candidates will be targeted to our needs. I look forward to working with Felix and being part of this exciting pilot program.

  • We are thrilled to be an early adopter of Viridis and its virtues.  According to Jorge Escobar, Vice President of Administrative Services at San José City College, this is a great example of how business meets education.  Our employer partners and students will now have visibility to jobs and opportunities here in Silicon Valley.  Initially, we are providing this valuable service to hundreds of Alumni and will expand this service to our “2021 Scholars” in 2017, and will be offered as an opt-in service. We have at our fingertips, occupation, salaries, and other information linked to the academic skill pathways and programs.  This is a very smart way of using technology to provide value and to get students faster into employment.
